| Store To Store Kayak Tour |
Our Bay to Bay Adventure offers a unique way to experience the ocean. We launch
our kayaks across the beach in La Jolla and paddle in a group out to the La Jolla Sea
Caves and Kelp beds. This fascinating place encourages us to explore the Ocean
Realm in a really “Hands–on” manner as we sit close to the water in our boats and
discuss the kelp ecosystem and bird watch with distinctive sea-birds. Next we paddle
out past the Harbor Seal rookery on the La Jolla coast and head on down past Bird
Rock. True to it’s name, this place allows us to get up close and personal with marine
mammals and the prolific bird life of the California Coast.
We usually then tie up in the kelp and eat our picnic lunch before paddling on down
towards Mission Bay. Finally, with Mission Bay Jetty in sight, we paddle into the bay at
the end of our epic journey and haul out at O E Express mission bay where we meet
the transport that will return us to our starting point.
This trip is not for the novice or for the faint of heart. It takes about 5 hours to
complete. It involves six miles of coastal paddling and requires a team effort to make it
successful. The rewards that you feel after making the effort to complete the paddle,
make the whole journey unforgettable. Our Bay to Bay adventure is truly one-of-a-
kind.
