Ok, enough with the backstory, lets start having some fun. La Jolla (literally “The Jewel” in Spanish) is home to an amazing array of beauty, both above and below the water. La Jolla Cove is a scenic wonderland of sand, surf, caves and wildlife. With seals beaching and sunning themselves on the cliffs to rare sea birds visiting form above, there is never a dull day in La Jolla Cove! Under the waves we have the famed La Jolla Underwater Park, also referred to as the La Jolla Ecological or Marine Reserve. Sealife abounds and in many instances even interacts with it’s visitors (you). From harmless plant eating sharks to the colorful marine fish native to Southern California, there is always plenty to see in the La Jolla Marine Reserve.
Everyone has their own style, so whether you would rather sea kayak through the famous caves hidden inside the cliffs or dive down to the reefs far below the surf, La Jolla Cove has what you’re looking for. After you have had your fill on the water, take a stroll through La Jolla shores or historic downtown La Jolla. Ocean-view restaurants shops and quint stores line the streets and welcome you at every turn. Whether you choose to spend your day in La Jolla with OEX or not, we invite you to come to the Cove and enjoy one of natures true wonders. Enjoy the site and we’ll see you on the water!
